Deployment Pics...

The following are some pictures I took this morning at the send off of the 883/881 Sapper companies. There were very few dry eyes as families and friends said goodbyes to their loved ones. It was so precious to see children hugging their dads and brothers and showing off the banners and pictures they had made for them. I had expected there to be a feeling of sadness as loved ones gave long hugs and said "I love you"...but instead, there was a strong feeling of PRIDE, Patriotism, and brotherhood as these families watch their loves ones unit together to serve and protect our country. It was a very special moment that words cannot justly describe. I ask that you please keep these soldiers (and especially John) and their families in your prayers!

The LOVE of my life...
(Thanks for taking this pic Sgt Kilby!)

John and his unit are currently headed off to the airport to fly to Texas for more training before heading into "theater". Please pray for safe travels!
